Program Educational Objectives of BE Specialization in Telecommunication, Electronics & Electrical Power Engineering

The aim of BE (Electrical Engineering) is to provide quality education in Electrical Engineering and bridge gap between industry and academia to equip engineering graduates with the state of art technologies and technical skills needed in the market.
The main objectives of BE (Electrical Engineering) program are to produce:
  1. To contribute in the fields of Telecommunication, Electronics, Computer Systems and Power Engineering to add value at national & international levels. The specific objectives are to:
    1. Acquire and apply professional knowledge in science, mathematics and core disciplines of engineering
    2. Develop oral & written communication skills and to apply technical knowledge for problem solving and independent learning.
    3. Be able to practise the applications of engineering to address societal needs.

  2. To serve corporate enterprises and to initiate entrepreneurship with their acquired scientific and technical skills. The objectives are to:
    1. Design & develop experiments by analyzing & interpreting data.
    2. Work as an individual or part of a multi-disciplinary team for socio-economic uplift of community.
    3. Develop components, processes and systems to meet the engineering requirements.
    4. Make use of modern tools needed for effective engineering practices.

  3. To understand contemporary issues and the impact of technology on society, environment and sustainable development. The specific objectives are to produce engineers who possess:
    1. Up-to-date knowledge of latest issues and emerging technologies.
    2. Thorough understanding of the humanities and social sciences.
    3. Awareness of the impact of engineering on economy, environment and sustainability.

  4. To create awareness ofprofessionalpractices and establish legal & ethical values to develop a crime-free and impartial society. The specific objectives are to produce engineers who:
    1. Uphold ethical and moral values in their respective disciplines.
    2. Understand legal, cultural, ethnic norms.

  5. To demonstrate intellectual abilities to solve research and practical engineering problems. The specific objectives are to produce engineers who possess the ability to:
    1. Apply natural and mathematical sciences to solve engineering problems.
    2. Use the most relevant literature, equipment, engineering tools and techniques.
    3. Recognize engineering problems and provide suitable solutions.

  6. Be committed to continued personal development and possess aptitude for managing a multi-disciplinary engineering project. The specific objectives are to produce engineers who can:
    1. Recognize the need and have ability to engage in lifelong learning.
    2. Conceive, evaluate and execute multi-disciplinary engineering project being cognizant of the commercial and technical challenges
